Born on March 1 into a family of God fearing and nurturing parents, Willie and Sadie Moore, Harry Moore, Sr. is the third child of nine children.
 Reverend Moore was raised and educated in the Sylvania, Georgia school system graduating from Central High School in 1966. After graduating, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he met and married Carrie Garrett. From this union, two children were born: Harry Jr. and Sabrina. On December 5, 1993, Carrie was called home to be with the Lord.
 Reverend Moore attended and graduated from Pioneer Business School in Philadelphia in 1972. In 1979, Revered Moore was ordained as a deacon of Resurrection Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under the leadership of Pastor Claudis L. Amaker.
 On June 28, 1992, Reverend Moore was licensed to preach. On August 28, 1994, he was ordained to preach and on September 12, 1994 he accepted the call to the pastorate and was installed as the third Pastor in the history of Mount Olive Baptist Church, where he shepherds today.
 Reverend Moore completed his education at the Manna Bible Institute. He also aligned himself with the following organizations where he has been a diligent and faithful member: The Pennsylvania Eastern Keystone Baptist Association, The Missionary Pastor’s Conference of Philadelphia and Vicinity, The Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity, The Philadelphia Council of Clergy as well as The Evening Baptist Ministers’ Conference. Reverend Moore has held the position as Treasurer of the Philadelphia Host Committee for the National Baptist Convention in (2002) and again in (2007). In addition, he served as First and Second Vice President of the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Philadelphia and Vicinity. Presently, Reverend Moore is the newly installed president of the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Philadelphia and Vicinity.
 Reverend Moore is an anointed man of God. He has demonstrated himself as a spiritual man with a vision 1) moving the church forward and 2) equipping the saints to do ministry. He is a pastor with a shepherd’s heart. His love is demonstrated as he inspires and encourages the congregation to become disciples. The congregation has responded to his love and teaching through obedience and Mount Olive has blossomed like a rose during Reverend Moore’s pastorate.
Reverend Moore truly believes that in order to change the world, you must reach out to the world. During the past fourteen years, Pastor Moore has licensed nine preachers; ordained three pastors; ordained eleven deacons; appointed seventeen trustees; and created many new ministries. The Church Membership and Discipleship have increased, in both Bible Study and Church School under Pastor Moore. In 1998 under the leadership of Reverend Moore, the entire church was reconstructed and today at 37th and Wallace Streets stands a beautiful, modernized worship edifice.
Just to add to all of Pastor Harry Moore’s accomplishments on May 5, 2007, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mary L. Lewis from Atlanta Ga.
 Reverend Moore has an engaging personality and a contagious sense of humor. In his spare time, he enjoys watching basketball, bowling, cooking, fishing, relaxing and traveling.
